Situated on one of the famous gravelly knolls of Saint Estèphe, the most northerly of the Médoc’s communal appellations, Château l’Insouciance is one of the Médoc’s smallest crus. It produces only 7,000 to 10,000 bottles each year. Its single terroir of deep gravel and its grape varieties composed of Cabernet Franc (20%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Merlot (50%) are the building blocks of its identity.
