The wines of Morgon draw their strength from the terroir of Villié-Morgon. This famous Beaujolais cru contains an exceptional power that reveals its secrets after a few years. It is perhaps the most “Burgundian” of the Beaujolais crus. The soil, marked by erosion and very stony, gives Morgon “Aux Charmes” the fleshy fruitiness of the great Beaujolais wines, and the rich and fine expression of Burgundy wines. Made from 100% Gamay, this wine has a complex nose of peony and wild bramble supported by red fruits. It has a mellow and delicate mouthfeel, tannic structure coated with minerality.
