Dominique Forget – Château Couhins

Born into a family of winegrowers from the Charente, Dominique studied at Montpellier SupAgro to acquire the most comprehensive knowledge of vines and wine. In 1999, after some experience in the vineyards of the Mediterranean region, INRAE entrusted him with the management of Château Couhins, Cru Classé de Graves. Captivated by the originality of this unique heritage, as much by its history as by the quality and diversity of its terroirs and wines, he devotes all his energy to it with passion. Since the beginning, he has remained faithful to the objective of producing the greatest wines within the framework of sustainable viticulture, patiently seeking a balance between the plant, its environment and the teams working there. The concept of agroecology that he is developing on the estate, in addition to the AB conversion, is thus perfectly in line with the history of this heritage.
