At the age of 14, during his holidays in a wine estate in the Entre Deux Mers, Christophe Reboul Salze discovered wine and its conviviality. His passion never stop to grow and it is in 1982 that he turns professionally to the trade of great wines. For 20 years, between trade and tastings, he achieved his potential in the Bordeaux wine trade with the only frustration: acquiring technical skills in winemaking. To do that, he first purchased Château Gigault in Blaye appellation, confident about the potential of this terroir made of thin sandy clay which rests on a soft limestone plateau and which brings a characteristic expression of limestone to the wine: stretched, fresh, salty, with fine tannins. Finally, in 2011, he bought a beautiful terroir of the appellation in the commune of Cars which he named Château Belle Coline in tribute to his daughter. Today, he is totally dedicated to these 3 properties to show that this terroir reveals great wines.
