Located in the commune of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, the Château de Candale is classified as a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. It is said to have originated from a certain Lady Marguerite de Suffolk Kandall, a descendant of the English King Edward III who married Count Jean de Foix, allowing him to become Count of Candale. The numerous micro parcels of the vineyard offer a great diversity of terroirs and exposures, contributing to the elegance and complexity of the château’s wines.
