Karl-Friedrich and Christine Scheufele fell in love with the Périgord region on their honeymoon and acquired Château Monestier La Tour in 2012. Co-chairman of the Chopard Group and owner of the wine merchant Le Caveau de Bacchus in Geneva, Karl-Friedrich is a passionate wine collector. He wanted to get involved in production and after 7 years of reorganisation and investment, the 30 hectare wine estate produces wines in Bergerac, Côtes de Bergerac and Saussignac. Their strong attachment to the region and their sensitivity for the terroir and nature present on the estate naturally led them to produce organic and biodynamic wines. A haven of peace and biodiversity, the wines are therefore made with respect for nature, anchored in their terroir and endowed with a subtle balance between depth, freshness and fruit.
